Inthe seminar on “Jain Philosophy & Science” organized during Chaturmas ofAcharya Shri Mahapragya in 2007, a proposal was passed to continue activitiesin this important field. As a follow up “SCIENCE & PHILOSOPHY CELL” was setup in Vigyan Samiti with the consent of Dr KL Kothari & Dr NL Kachara wasmade its convener. This Cell organizes meeting on 2ndSaturday everymonth in which a Scholar is invited to deliver a talk on any topic related tophilosophy & science and the activities of the cell are also discussed. TheCell succeeded in creating interest in the study of impact of philosophy inscience.
For self employment, healthcare and education awakening a monthly rural awareness camp is being organized at Vigyan Samiti Campus every month for regular contact and communication with women of rural self help groups. An annual fee of Rs. 50/- only is collected. In this camp actual travel expenses and free meal is provided to the participants. The meeting generally lasts for four hour beginning with prayer followed by inspiring lectures, knowledgeable information, important news of month and imparting training related to handicrafts and home science. It also take care of visit to important heritage sites.
